TESCO SUPPORTS GERRARDS CROSS TRADERS ASSOCIATION CHRISTMAS LIGHTS APPEAL
Tesco have donated £6,500 towards the Gerrards Cross Traders Association Christmas Lights Appeal. The money has been used to repair and improve the Gerrards Cross Lights. Tesco along with Costain, the contractor developing Tesco’s new Gerrards Cross Store have both given significant contributions to ensure that Gerrards Cross Christmas lights have been brought up-to-date and meet the necessary safety standards.
Tesco Corporate Affairs Manager, Michael Kissman said: “Tesco are delighted to have been able to help provide this significant donation to ensure that the Gerrards Cross Traders Association had enough funds to ensure that the Christmas lights could go up this year.”
“I hope that the lights will be enjoyed by all the people of Gerrards Cross over the festive season.”
Michael added: “As people will have seen we are now making significant progress with our development in Gerrards Cross and we hope that in a couple of years time, Tesco will be playing an even more active role, as a retailer, in the Traders Association.”
Peter Banner, a Director of the Gerrards Cross Traders Association said:
“We are very grateful for all the donations made to this years appeal by traders, residents and the local councils; Tesco and their construction partner Costain have been particularly generous. All the donations we received have enabled us to upgrade and install the Christmas lights for another year. They look fabulous and should attract greater custom.”
