OLD STORE FRAME TO COME DOWN AT TESCO GERRARDS CROSS
With work having recommenced on site earlier this month, the development team for the Tesco supermarket development at Gerrards Cross will tomorrow (29th March) begin the process of dismantling the existing store frame.
The removal of the steel structure is the next stage in a programme of advance works to prepare the site for tunnel construction to resume. The advance works programme is expected to take around 15 weeks in total and will also include the assembly of a temporary access bridge across the tunnel.
Tesco Corporate Affairs Manager Michael Kissman said:
“The removal of the steel store frame will be welcome evidence of real progress on the project. It follows a great deal of preparation from the development team that will enable us to keep disruption to a minimum whilst proceeding safely and efficiently.”
